Sat December 2, 2017 11 a.m.
The Kalamazoo Valley Museum and the Center for Autism and Related Disorders (C.A.R.D.) are working together to provide a place for parents to learn from experts in the field and discover how to enjoy the Museum with their families. This FREE program, Navigating the Holidays, will be held at the Kalamazoo Valley Museum on December 2 at 11 a.m. It will include an interactive discussion for adults on how to prepare for family celebrations and community events in the new ThinkTank on the second floor. At the same time, children will work with C.A.R.D. staff and volunteers at a variety of age- and interest-appropriate activity stations in the adjacent Innovation Lab. A cool-down area with fidgets, sensory cubes, weighted toys, resistance bands, and much more will be available as well. At the end of this one-hour program, participants may join in a guided Museum tour or choose to enjoy the galleries on their own.
