KZOO Kids wants to wish all the dads out there a very Happy Father’s Day! Check out these fun ideas and freebies to treat the special dad in your life!

 

Historic Charlton Park

Car enthusiasts will love the 36th Annual Father’s Day Car Show at the Historic Charlton Park located in Hastings, MI. The event will be held from 8 am-4pm rain or shine. Admission for adults is $6.00, kids 5-12 is $4.00, and ages 4 and under are free. There will be over 800 vehicles on display, so have a Sunday funday down at the car show!

Little River Railroad

Take your train lovers for a fun ride at the Little River Railroad in Coldwater, MI. With 11:00 am and 2:00 pm departures, fathers ride free with the purchase of a regular ticket. Tickets sell out fast, so reservations are highly recommended.

 

Kalamazoo Growlers Baseball

For the Sunday, June 18th game, you can snag a Friends and Family Deal. 4 reserved seats + 4 Growlers caps + $20 Hungry Howie’s voucher + one fun Sunday afternoon = All for less than 30 bucks.

 

Pierce Cedar Creek Institute

For the nature loving Dad, take a drive out to Hastings, MI to attend the Father’s Day Dinner at Pierce Cedar Creek Institute. The dinner will be at 5:00pm with the program to follow at 6:00pm. The program will feature information about the full solar eclipse that will move across the United States this August. Learn the what, where, and how to experience a solar eclipse. YMCA of Greater Kalamazoo

Let dad celebrate all weekend long with a free three day membership to the YMCA locations of Greater Kalamazoo! This promotion begins Friday, June 16 and runs through Sunday, June 18. Dads will get complete access to members classes and gym equipment.

 

Binder Park Zoo

This Father’s Day, all dads accompanied by their children or grandchildren will receive half off admission for the day. The zoo is open on Sunday, June 18 from 11am – 6pm.

 

Craig’s Cruisers Family Fun Center

Dad golfs free (with purchase of a child’s golf) Father’s Day, June 18 at the Grand Rapids, Muskegon, and Holland locations.

 

Father’s Day Trails and Ales

On Sunday, June 18, 3:30-4:30 pm at Bow in the Clouds Preserve. Join SWMLC and the Little Adventurers’ Club to celebrate fatherhood with a walk in nature with your kids, followed by refreshments in a family-friendly environment at One Well Brewing.

Come and enjoy the new boardwalk, osprey platform, and new loop trail created by our Earth Day Workday volunteers at Bow in the Clouds Preserve. If you haven’t visited Bow in the Clouds before, you will be amazed by this heavenly slice of wilderness right in the heart of Kalamazoo.

 

Arcadia Ales

Treat your favorite dad to some beer specials and a delicious BBQ out in the Beer Garden! Dads can enjoy a free corn hole tournament from 11:00am- 3:00pm. If corn hole isn’t dad’s thing, then have him go on the free brewery tour just for dads at 2:00pm or 4:00pm. Families can also bring a fishing pole and find a spot to fish down by the river, too!
