Do you have a sweet spot for Valentine’s Day events and activities? There’s plenty of fun ways to celebrate Valentine’s Day with events and activities around Kalamazoo. Here are some of the Valentine’s Day related events that you can do with your kiddos:
From the Heart at the Kalamazoo Public Library on February 9-11. Drop in during open hours at all locations and make one, take one. Help us make Valentines for residents of local nursing homes and make an extra to give to your special someone.
Valentines Day Kids Cake Fun on February 11 at Garden Griddle. Enjoy decorating a heart shaped cake for Valentines day. Each child will get a pre baked heart shaped cake to decorate and take home to give to someone they love! The fun night will be $20 per child.
Valent-ICE downtown Grand Rapids February 12-14. Organized around Valentine’s Day, the festival features live ice carving, a walking tour of whimsical ice art, ice skating and other snowy season fun.
Love Notes Valentine Cabaret February 12 at 7:00 pm. The Kalamazoo Children’s Touring Choir will be performing a very special concert at the Epic Center on February 12. An evening of love, romance and spectacular drinks and desserts.
Lowe’s Build and Grow on February 13 making a Valentine’s picture frame.
Valentine’s Day Storytime on February 13 at Barnes and Noble. Monster comes home from vacation and discovers a box of chocolates on his doorstep with activities to follow.
26th Annual Father and Daughter Valentine Dinner and Dance on February 13 at the WMU Bernhard Center. Tickets are $25 per person & advance tickets only. Sponsored by Kalamazoo Junior Girls Organization.
Valentine’s Snowshoe Nature Hike on February 14 at Schrier Park. Take your Valentine on a trail adventure! Join a Kalamazoo Nature Center Naturalist and snowshoe the trails of Schrier Park.
Valentine’s Skate Date on February 14 at Millennium Park. Private skate, live music and dinner on the ice!! Bring your partner and/or kids for this unique Valentine experience. The evening will begin with dinner on the ice, servers on skates and a meal from The Great American Pasty & Pie Company! Following dinner, the rink will be reserved for only those registered for this event and will re-open to the public at 6 pm. Fee is $16 per person and pre-registration by February 11 at the rink is required.
