Branch Gymnastics has locations in both Battle Creek and Kalamazoo (Kids Sports USA). Together, there is a total of 77,000 square feet of state-of-the-art gymnastics space. Both locations offer a preschool program (starting at 18 months), school-age program and competitive teams for girls and boys.
In addition to gymnastics, they also offer cheering lessons (Branch Gymnastics location), Momentum Dance (Kids Sports USA location), Step N Up Dance Studio (Branch Gymnastics location), camps, fieldtrips, open gym times, drop-in Mom-N-Tot classes, home school program and birthday party packages. At Kids Gym in Portage, kids as young as one can start learning the basics of gymnastics in their TumbleKids program. Children ages one to five will learn gymnastics basics while using the toddler-size equipment in the designated toddler gym. Kids Gym also has a “big gym” with the latest equipment in gymnastics. Programs in the main gym include five recreational class levels for boys and girls, competitive and non-competitive teams.
Other services include cheerleading lessons, clinics, private lessons, field trips and open gym times. Open Gym is on Saturdays from 12:30 to 2:00 pm ($9) and Open Tumbling is on Tuesdays from 3:30 pm to 4:30 pm ($6). Waivers must be signed by a legal guardian for participation.

The Greater Kalamazoo World of Gymnastics offers a variety of classes for boys and girls. “Tumblebears” is a class designed for children 18 months to five years old to learn skill development and basics. Parents are encouraged to participate with their children until age three. Older students can join their recreational classes where they will have the opportunity to perfect skills on balance beam, floor exercise, uneven bars, vault and also rings and pommel horse for boys. The Greater Kalamazoo World of Gymnastics offers competitive teams once boys and girls reach a certain skill-level.

Creative Gymnastics Center has been serving the Sturgis community for over 18 years! Their program runs September through May, but children can join any time if there is space available. Classes start at three years old. In addition to regular classes, Creative Gymnastics Center also has opportunities for field trips, birthday parties, open gym times for school-age kids and younger children and even a “Parents’ Night Out!”

As soon as your child can walk, they can take classes at All That Athletics in Plainwell. Three preschool classes are offered for children under five. For older children, there are beginner, intermediate and advanced offerings. Placement is based on skill-level. Boys and girls tumbling classes are also offered in four-week sessions. Adults and children are welcome during their weekly open gym times for $10 a session. Open Gym times are Mondays from 8:00 to 9:30 pm for middle school and older students and Fridays from 6:30 to 8:30 pm for kids ages five to eleven.

West Michigan Dance Center offers different levels of gymnastics/acro focusing on stretching and flexibility. Skills that are focused on include somersaults, cart wheels, hand stands, back bends, aerials and back tucks. Click here for information.

Excel Dance Centre in Texas Corners offers five levels of floor/mat gymnastics and acro. Placement is based on evaluated skills. In addition to the gymnastics classes, they also offer a Tumbling Tykes class for children age four to six. Click here or call for more information.
Tiny Tumblers is a mobile gymnastics bus geared towards the preschool age group. Inside their bus you will find equipment that you would find in most gyms including balance beams, trampoline and rings. While Tiny Tumblers is based in Otsego, they travel to various preschools and daycares in Kalamazoo including Tutor Time, Adventure Learning Center and Little Explorers.
