Moms love their kids and love to spend time with them, but let’s face it, we all need a Mom’s Night Out sometimes! Take a break from the regular mom routine and grab some friends then head out for some fun! Here are some ideas for the perfect Mom’s Night Out.

Bring your friends, bring snacks and beverages (adult beverages are allowed) and everyone in the class paints a painting. The instructor gives you step-by-step very basic instructions. It’s a great opportunity to do something creative and watch as everyone creates a work of art! Check out their calendar to see what paintings will be created at each class. Hosted at a variety of area organizations and restaurants, My Art on Canvas gives you step by step instructions to create a beautiful painting. They provide everything you need and even clean up for you. Check out their calendar to find your masterpiece.
Join Arcadia Brewing Company and local artist Amy Tarbell during the first semester of “Crafts & Craft”. Every Wednesday night head down to Arcadia Brewing Company Kalamazoo from 6-8pm and for only $10 get a 10oz Tier 1 Beer and all the supplies you need to make a new craft every week. The event is open to all ages and there are plenty of great non-alcoholic beverages available including Faygo and house-made Root Beer on draft.
Wine and Canvas operates much like My Art on Canvas, only they have snacks and beverages available for purchase at the venue. All of the paintings for the month are posted on the calendar on their website.

A DAY ON THE LAKE

Spend some time on Gull Lake relaxing with your mom friends! It is possible to rent a boat and driver for a minimum of two hours or more. There is a separate per hour fee for each the boat and the driver. The rental schedule generally runs from mid-May through September, but can vary some depending on the weather. Call them for availability in October. If you plan to go now, note that they have shorter hours (10am – 6pm daily).
