We all need a break once in awhile. What better idea than to gather a group of friends for a Mom’s Night Out! We asked our KZOOkids.com readers a few months ago for their suggestions and also added some of our own.

Bring your friends, bring snacks and beverages (adult beverages are allowed) and everyone in the class paints a painting. The instructor gives you step-by-step very basic instructions. It’s a great opportunity to do something creative and watch as everyone creates a work of art! Check out their calendar to see what paintings will be created at each class. You can also book private parties if you have a large enough group.

My Art on Canvas

Hosted at a variety of area organizations and restaurants, My Art on Canvas gives you step by step instructions to create a beautiful painting. They provide everything you need and even clean up for you. Check out their calendar to find your masterpiece.

Wine and Canvas

Wine and Canvas operates much like Happy Our Art, only they have snacks and beverages available for purchase at the studio. All of the paintings for the month are posted on the calendar on their website.

2016 KIA Arts Fair

Grab a girlfriend and head over to the KIA Arts Fair on June 3 from 3:00-8:00 pm or
June 4 from 9:00 am-5:00 pm. Friday features music on the Rotary stage, food trucks on South Street, and a beer garden at the KIA, 4:00-10:00 pm. Saturday features children’s activities 10:00 am-4:00 pm – including the popular Art Detectives scavenger hunt — and music performances on two stages.

Tempo Vino Winery

At Tempo Vino Winery, customers are welcome to stop in any time and sample wines. The cost is $5 for the tasting, but free with a wine purchase. Tempo Vino Winery is also available for private wine tasting functions. If you have a group and want your own wine tasting event, the cost if $15/per person/ per hour (with a minimum charge for 10 people).
