No Labor Day Weekend Plans Yet? We’ve Got Some Ideas For You

by Jill P

It’s here! Labor Day Weekend and the end of summer. Don’t have any plans for this weekend? We have ideas for things that you can do with your family this weekend. Check out one of the events or activities from our list below.

Close To Home

Enjoy a movie at the Flick’s Family Film Festival-Fall 2015 with the opening on Friday, September 4 with Paul Blart: Mall Cop.

Check out a SW Michigan Farmers’ Market. There’s plenty of bounty for the season.

Head over to Lunchtime Live on Friday for lunch. This week they will have WMU Cheerleading, WMU Dance Team, and Buster Bronco all coming down to help get Kalamazoo ready for the big Western Michigan Broncos football vs. Michigan State Spartans football game Friday night. Plus they will have Shelagh Brown Band providing the live music. Fun stuff!

Grab your kids and head over the Kalamazoo Public Library-Central location for First Saturday at KPL on Saturday from 2:00 pm to 3:30 pm. They’ll be getting ready for school by getting your library card and posing for a photo in our library card photobooth! Get one if you don’t have one yet! Bring yours if you do! Door prizes, stories, and activities to celebrate our return to school!

Check out one of the new businesses in our area that have opened: Menard’s on Gull Road, Principle Food & Drink (perfect for a date night), or the Tanger Outlet Mall are all now open.
