Center Stage Theatre presents Mary Poppins

Plays this weekend and next weekend at the Comstock Auditorium in Comstock. Click on the link above for full schedule and ticket prices. 

  • Everyone’s favorite practically perfect nanny takes the stage in this supercalifragilisticexpialidocious musical adventure! Center Stage Theatre’s multi-age cast is proud to present Mary Poppins, one of the most popular Disney movies of all time, presented in a whole new way. The show is based on the books by P.L. Travers and the classic Walt Disney film. Ticket prices are $12 for adults and $10 for children and seniors.

 

Olde Tyme Tractor & Steamer Show

July 17-19 at the Scotts Mill County Park in Scotts. 

  • Presented by the Scotts Olde Tyme Power & Equipment Association. Activities Include: Threshing Machines, Baling, Community Wide Garage Sale, Community Wide Parade, Antique Cars, Antique Tractors, Blacksmithing, Flea Market & Crafts, Flour Mill Demonstrations, Food Concessions, Hit & Miss Engines, Kiddie Train, Planer, Rope Making, Sawmills, Shingle Mill, Oil Pull & Steam Engines, and Old Engines. $5 for adults and kids 12 & under are FREE.

Civil War Muster

Saturday & Sunday, July 18 & 19 at Historic Charlton Park in Hastings.  

  • See history come alive with hundreds of re-enactors depicting Confederate and Union Infantry, Cavalry, and Artillery units. Shop on Sutler Row, play parlor games, see military demonstrations. Admission is Adults $6.00, Kids $4.00 ages 5 – 12 years, 4 and under are free. Tip to parents: bring chairs, ear protection (yes, the military demonstration can be loud), and bug spray.

Taste of Portage

Saturday, July 18 Overlander Band Shell from 12:00 pm – 10:00 pm in Portage. 

  • Celebrate the history, unique restaurants, brew pubs, and traditions that make the City of Portage an amazing place to live, work, and enjoy. Taste of Portage celebrates the citizens and community to encourage all to love where they live. Free from 12-4 pm, $5 from 4- 7 pm and $10 from 7 -10 pm.

Movies Under the Stars-Planes

Saturday, July 18 at Fray’s Park in Kalamazoo. Movie begins at dusk. 

  • Brought to you by the City of Kalamazoo Parks & Rec Department, join the FREE movie and pre-movie actives. Movie starts at dusk. Kalamazoo Department of Public Safety, Life EMS, and Pop City Popcorn will all be there to help make this a great event! FREE.
