Do your kiddos LOVE Valentine’s Day? There’s plenty of fun ways to celebrate Valentine’s Day with events and activities around Kalamazoo. Here are some of the Valentine’s Day related events that you can do with your kiddos:

Family Crafternoon – Valentine’s Mailbox @ Michael’s-Bring the whole family together to create something special. Decorate a special Valentine’s Day mailbox to hold cards from classmates, friends and sweethearts. $10 per box, supplies included.

Cut paper Valentine Art with Author Jessica Aguilera and ROSE @ Bookbug-Meet ROSE, her spirited tale of individuality and her talented creator Jessica Aguilera, who has told her story using thousands of pieces of cut-paper charm. Supplies will be on-hand for kids to create their own unique pieces of love and identity to share and celebrate themselves and each other this Valentine’s. Registration not required, but RSVP’s appreciated.

Learn How to Build a Heart Box @ Home Depot-Come learn how to build a heart box in time for Valentine’s Day. FREE hands-on workshops; designed for children ages 5 – 12.
All kid get to keep their craft, receive a FREE certificate of achievement, a Workshop Apron, and a commemorative pin while supplies last.

Kids Club – String Art Heart @ Michael’s-Drop in. Take home a completed project. Just $2 per child for 30 minutes of creative craft fun. Ages 3 and up.

Bella Patina Valentine Paper Craft Party at Bella Patina-Offering a Valentine-themed workshop for children ages 6-12 on Sunday, Feb. 8th from 3-4:30. The cost is $20 per child with advance registration & payment. (limited availability) The cost includes creating 3 paper crafts: a heart mask, arrows & ornaments, games & refreshments, Reservations required.

IMAGINE… Love Concert by the Kalamazoo Children’s Chorus @ Epic Theatre-Tickets for “Imagine… Love” a Valentine Cabaret on Saturday, February 14, 2015 at the Epic Center will go on sale in January. The cost is $10.

Valentine’s Day Craft @PDL-So many ways to say “I Love You”! We would like to add one more way. Make something with your little hands and give it to someone you love. The craft will be available from 10:00-2:00 (or until supplies last).

Valentine’s Drop-in Crafts at Comstock Library-From 10:30 am-3:30 pm, all ages. No registration is required for this free drop-in session. Choose 3 crafts from a variety of previously offered crafts. Quantities and styles may be limited.

Valentine’s Day Storytime @ Barnes & Noble-At 11:00 am for Valentine’s Day Storytime and activities featuring “I Love You Just Like This!” There are many ways to say ‘I love you’ – and Elmo and his Sesame Street friends are ready to tell you.

Sweetheart Picture Holder @ Lowe’s-Valentine’s Day is right around the corner! Bring your child to Lowe’s and they can build this Sweetheart Picture Holder!

Valentine’s Skate Date @Millennium Park-Private skate, live music and dinner on the ice!! Bring your partner and/or kids for this unique Valentine experience. Start the evening dining on the ice with a meal catered from Grand Traverse Pie Company, by a server on skates! That’s right, this could turn out to be a dinner that is both entertaining and memorable.  Following dinner, the rink will be reserved for only those registered for this event and will re-open to the public at 6 p.m. Feel free to skate all night as we giveaway prizes throughout the evening. 4:30 p.m. at The Ice Rink Fee: $15 per person (due by Feb. 12 at rink). RSVP and payment required.

Valentine’s Late Skate @ Rollerworld-Join the fun with our annual Late Skate with special activities including: Valentines Balloon Drop, Valentines T-P the Rink, Valentines Concession Specials, Valentines Match Game, and more!

Father Daughter Valentine Dinner And Dance – 25th Anniversary Celebration @ WMU Bernhard Center starting at 6:30 pm. Cost is $25 per ticket and advance tickets required.
