Kalamazoo Valley Museum has programs for kids and families that are hands-on and sometimes feature a special performer. We love the various “Hands-On Happenings” that take place during the summer, school breaks, and various weekend dates. Preschool circle time programs are offered Monday through Saturday in the Children’s Landscape. The Children’s Landscape area is a designated play and exploration space for children under 5 years old. Kalamazoo Institute of Arts has programs and options for all ages. Children through age 12 are always free and their monthly free Art Detectives program (2nd Saturdays, for kids 4-8) is a great way for parents – or grandparents – to introduce children to the art museum.
