Did you know that we have cranberry bogs right here in Michigan? I didn’t until we attended the Annual Cranberry Harvest Day at DeGrandchamp Farms last year.

DeGrandchamp Farms will be hosting their Annual Cranberry Havest Day. The cranberry harvest takes place just once a year. On October 15, 2016, they will hold an Open House event where everyone is invited to come out and learn about our cranberry harvest.

Enjoy a hayride to the Cranberry bogs where you can watch the harvesting of a sea of red ripe cranberries. The cost of admission is $7 for adults and $3 for children 12 and under. After visiting the cranberry bogs, follow the berries into the warehouse for a demonstration of the equipment used to clean and package the berries for Market.

After your tour, you can shop the farm market and take home fresh or dried cranberries.
