Join us on Bates Alley Saturday, October 5 for the Skeleton launch party!
Kalamazoo Downtown Partnership is thrilled to announce the Downtown Kalamazoo SkeleTour
Downtown Kalamazoo is going to be getting a little spooky, and a lot silly in this month-long celebration during October. This October, the Kalamazoo Downtown Partnership is hosting the first-ever Downtown Kalamazoo SkeleTour, complete with a kick-off party October 5 on Bates Alley.
From wild and wacky, to spooky and eerie, downtown streets will be adorned with one-of-a-kind, life-size skeletons that reflect local businesses and organizations unique to Kalamazoo.
SkeleTour launch party is on October 5
To kick off the festivities, a SkeleTour launch party is being held in Bates Alley on Saturday, October 5 from 4-8 p.m.
Bates Alley will be lined with kids’ activities, a professional pumpkin carving demonstration from 4-6 p.m., and live music from The Skeletones from 5-8 p.m.
There will be a pumpkin carver, clowns, magicians, jugglers and more. Make sure to grab dinner on one of the back decks of the many great restaurants while you enjoy music from The Skeletones!
There is even a Skeleton Bar Crawl planned by the Downtown Kalamazoo Restaurant and Retail Association starting at 4 p.m. Saturday, October 5. More details to come.
Trolley of Terror Runs Every Saturday in October
Additionally, the Trolley of Terror, sponsored by the City of Kalamazoo Parks and Recreation Department, will be running its traditional route throughout downtown connecting visitors to the great businesses and skeleton displays in the area. The trolley runs every Saturday in October from 4-9 p.m.
On Saturday, October 26, the Trolley of Terror will even take families from Bronson Park to the City of Kalamazoo’s Safe Halloween event at Milham Park.
Downtown Kalamazoo SkeleTour is presented by PlazaCorp, and the launch party is sponsored by Honore Salon, Millennium Restaurant Group, City of Kalamazoo Parks and Recreation, Peregrine Company, and Public Media Network.
