A Whiff of Holiday Memories

Gingerbread. Spruce trees. Candy Canes.  What do all of these have in common? Distinct aromas that make us smile with holiday nostalgia. As our pumpkin spice everything season winds down, it’s time to trade in our fall scents for holiday favorites as we look forward to celebrating with family and friends.

I’m not particularly crafty. I can pin on Pinterest with exceptional speed, but it’s unlikely I will make any of the projects I’ve fawned over. With the holiday season approaching, I would like to give personalized gifts to my friends and family; however, my aforementioned lack of craftiness usually stops me in my gift making tracks.

Thankfully, Kalamazoo Candle Company offers drop-in freestyle sessions during store hours year-round to create amazing candles with any fragrance you choose- including your holiday favorites.

And, better yet – they are extending the drop-in sessions to include the entire week of Thanksgiving. Your family can let their creativity flow by making candles together, perfect for gifts or to take home and enjoy.

Drop-in Session: Bring the family for an adventure. Children are welcome (safety goggles provided for children). Parental assistance is required to supervise the use of equipment. Wax will be cooled down and completely safe to touch. Note: candles take about 60 minutes to cool. This provides a great opportunity to shop around the Marketplace or stroll downtown while you wait. Completed candles can also be picked up within one to two business days.

Cost: Drop-in class is $15 per adult or $10 per child (studio fee). Each 10-ounce candle is an additional $10.
