Explore downtown’s most recent green-and-growing addition with Rain Garden Tours, in partnership with the Kalamazoo Nature Center. This guided tour is led by student master gardeners as part of the Bronson Park Earth Day Festival. While walking the new rain gardens around the Kalamazoo Valley Museum, you will discover what a rain garden is, how it is made, plants essential to a healthy rain garden, how rain gardens help protect our precious watershed, and more. Tours will last approximately 20 minutes and are offered to the public every half hour between noon and 5 p.m. in front of the Kalamazoo Valley Museum. Preregistration at kalamazoomuseum.org is encouraged to ensure your spot.
