The Kalamazoo Rock and Mineral Show is one of the largest and best attended rock shows in Michigan. 2019 is the Society’s 60th Show – both a celebration and a tribute to the Rock & Mineral hobby. A fun event for the whole family! Explore and discover the world of rocks, minerals, meteorites and fossils; pan for gold, learn about silver smithing, lapidary, facet-ing, play a game, polish a Petoskey stone, crack open a geode; all this and more can be done at the Show. Learn about geology through the many KGMS members’ displays; hands on educational activities provided by Western Michigan University, Kingman Museum and many others. Show lecturers include – Steve Arnold (Meteorite Men) , Krystle (Dorris) Dinkel (Prospectors) and Paleo Joe.
