Together, we can demonstrate acceptance and unity, calling attention to injustice for one is injustice for all! Join the City of Kalamazoo for the Loy Norrix drumline led procession honoring the life and legacy of Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. The City of Kalamazoo is looking for volunteers (volunteer sign up at http://go.gryphon.org/aem/general/event/?doc_id=5728) as well as walkers to participate in the January 20 MLK Commemorative Walk from Metro’s Kalamazoo Transportation Center (KTC) to the Laying of the Wreath Ceremony at MLK Park. The Laying of the Wreath ceremony will feature guest speakers including Gryphon Place CEO, Maricela Alcala. Coffee rescue will be on hand with hot beverages.
Registrants will receive an MLK Community Wide Day of Service volunteer shirt, lunch (available for pick up at City Hall anytime from 11am-1pm) and knit gloves.
