Monday, August 5, 2019 - 12:00 pm - 5:00 pm

We will be making slab rolled clay pieces! You can choose your favorite four letter word and string them together. The price includes four 4″ square “tiles”, up to four embellishments, instructions, materials, firing, and one follow up session for painting. You could also make a clay leaf bowl or toad home. We have all kinds of stamps and tools to use to get a variety of textures on your pieces during the clay making stage. Two weeks later, your projects will be ready for painting. When you paint, we have a lot of techniques you can try including stamping, stenciling, silk screening, fun fur and bubbles.

Your $12 deposit will go towards your project total (which is $53) the day of class. Call the studio to register 269-375-2600.

Due to the nature of clay and hand building, occasionally we have breakage or explosions of pieces. If instructions were followed correctly, we would be more than happy to have the student remake the piece. If the instructions were not followed, we will do our best to fix the problem.

Please note as far as aesthetics go, kids work to their age and ability. It may not be perfect but precious just the same.

In most cases, painting can be done in one sitting (usually two weeks after the piece has been fired once) . If another visit is required, there will be an additional studio fee.
