Saturday, November 17, 2018 - 4:00 pm - 7:00 pm

Texas Township will be hosting its sixth annual Holiday Farmers’ Market and Tree-Lighting Ceremony on Saturday, November 17 from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Joyce I. Neubauer Farmers’ Market Pavilion to bring the community together and get in the holiday spirit.

Thirty local farmers’ market vendors will be selling a wide variety of products, including turkeys for Thanksgiving and all of the fresh, seasonal produce that Michigan has to offer this time of year. Even in November, when the days or short and the nights are cold, many farmers are still growing and harvesting fresh vegetables and storing others through the winter months. Shoppers can find products like apples, potatoes, sweet potatoes, carrots, onions, greens, lettuce, Brussels sprouts, plenty of baked goods, jams and jellies, sweets, maple syrup and honey, local meats – including turkey, beef, pork, lamb and Great Lakes fish – as well as Evergreen wreaths and swags, Michigan wine, soaps, wool socks, and so much more!

The Market Information Table will be serving complimentary hot cocoa, hot local cider and locally-roasted coffee to help with any chill that might be in the air that time of year. Carolers will fill the market with holiday cheer, and the annual Tree-Lighting Ceremony will take place in the pavilion at 6:30 p.m. to kick off the holiday season.

Need to do some holiday shopping? This special market is a great place to buy fresh ingredients for Thanksgiving dinners, as well as holiday gifts. A market tote filled with Fresh on Q! goodies, a market gift certificate, or a bag of “Corners Coins” to spend at Texas Corners businesses all make great gifts. These items can be purchased at the Market Information Table, located at the east end of the pavilion.

The market proudly accepts credit and debit cards, as well as food assistance benefits, including the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) via the Michigan Bridge Card and Double Up Food Bucks. Visitors can learn more at the Market Information Table about these programs or swipe their cards in exchange for tokens to spend at the market.

Visit or follow the market on Facebook or Instagram for more information.
