Take Dad to the zoo! Area zoos and sanctuaries have reopened for families to visit; be sure to check their websites for new restrictions or ticket policies.
Many require facemasks for indoor spaces or when feeding animals.

Visit the many animals at John Ball Zoo in Grand Rapids, including ones in brick form! These visiting life-size brick sculptures are just one of many new features to see at the zoo this summer. Be sure to order tickets online (no on-site ticket sales currently).

Enjoy a scenic walk through the Kellogg Bird Sanctuary, where you can visit waterfowl (geese, ducks, swans) and rescued birds of prey. Please note: they are not currently offering corn buckets to feed the birds.
