Celebrating Mother’s Day in SWMI
I remember when both of my kids said “mama” for the first time. As those two little syllables blended together, my heart melted with my new, official title.
As each grew older, the calls for “mama” grew in frequency, leaving me a bit weary at the end of the day after my name was on repeat.
However someday, I know that “mama” will be replaced with “mom,” and it will be said much less often. These little moments often leave me conflicted about watching my kids grow up versus missing their younger, diapered versions.
Being a mom is a big job. One full of seemingly endless requests for snacks, toys, baths, and cleaning up something sticky (yes, something is always sticky).
