Mess Free Playgrounds

As spring in Kalamazoo brings regular rain showers, we offer up a list of great area parks that remain relatively mess-free. All of these parks feature portions of rubber turf play areas, paved paths, and won’t require trekking though soggy, muddy areas.

Frays Park

A lovely neighborhood park that features rubber turf surface underneath the main play structure. The play structure is a great fit for older kids as there is a lot of room to climb. There are also a couple of baby swings and big kid swings with wood chip surface underneath. To access the park you will want to park on one of the road adjacent to the play space and then walk a short paved path to the play area.
