We love when new businesses to come our area! Here’s a round-up on some of the new businesses to come to either Kalamazoo or greater West Michigan soon. The original news source links give more information for each of these businesses.

1. Field and Stream near Costco in Kalamazoo. Opening date –Aprll 1.
2. Los Amigos on Gull Road in Kalamazoo. They currently have other locations on Stadium Drive and Westnedge. Opening date – TBD.
3. Uccello’s Ristorante Pizzeria & Sports Lounge on Stadium Drive. Opening date –early fall 2016.
4. Monelli’s Italian Grill & Sports Grill on Westnedge (across from Culver’s) in Portage. Opening date – early May 2016.
5. Maru Sushi & Grill in downtown Kalamazoo. Opening date-TBD in 2016.
AROUND WEST MICHIGAN
Opening on February 24 on the SE side of Grand Rapids. I’ve recently been to their Lansing location and as would describe it as a cross between Trader Joe’s and Whole Foods Market. Something worth checking out the next time you’re in Grand Rapids.
Just announced addition to the Breton South Village in Grand Rapids. This food specialty retailer offers cooking classes which look awesome! Click here for an example of their classes that they offer at the Ann Arbor location. Open date-TBD.
Opening on February 18 near Knapp’s Corner. They serve Italian classics in a family friendly atmosphere.
This indoor trampoline franchise opened on February 10 in Jenison with dodgeball, JumpXtreme Tower, basketball foam pit, an arcade, a wifi lounge for parents and more. Watch for the Ninja Warrior Course and Ninja Warrior Training Course coming this fall. See the full review from our friends at grkids.com here. Something worth checking out in the future if you kids love this type of thing.
While this is not new to our area, we are excited about the some of the renovations and expansion plans. Reopening on June 7, the museum will feature new interactive exhibits and space for three new classrooms.
FUTHER OUT, BUT WORTH THE TRIP!
Opening their doors to the public on March 25, Michigan parents are excited! LEGOLAND Discovery Center Michigan will be a 32,000-square-foot indoor attraction at Great Lakes Crossing Outlets in Auburn Hills, featuring millions of LEGO bricks and themed exhibits including a 4D cinema, two interactive rides, large soft play areas and more.
