Allergies are Nothing to Sneeze At
Spring is one of my favorite seasons in Southwest Michigan. As the last few piles of snow melt away, I love watching the tulips bloom as they officially announce spring’s arrival.
However for me, I don’t need flowers to tell me that winter is ending: my allergies are my first alert for seasonal change. And my kids are not far behind; as they are itching to get outside, their watery eyes and runny noses try to coax them back in, away from nature’s allergens.
Yet staying inside doesn’t make allergies go away. Determined to have my kids enjoy spring in Kalamazoo, I sought an allergist’s expertise. Allergies often require detective work to diagnose and treat effectively, and I needed a specialist with the patience and experience to help us.
After testing and treatment, our symptoms are massively improved. And while we are fortunate that our symptoms are only seasonal, allergies can be a very serious health condition. Whether seasonal or food allergies or asthma, finding the right immunological provider for your family can greatly improve your comfort and symptoms.
