Southwest Michigan U-Pick Fruit Guide and Farmers Markets –  2018

Warmer weather means fresh produce in Michigan and we couldn’t be happier!

We are lucky to live in an area with an abundance of local farms that supply us with a diverse offering of fresh produce. Many local farms offer U-pick berries in the summer months(typically June for strawberries, July for blueberries and later summer for peaches). Plan now to make an annual family tradition of fruit picking.

If you don’t have the time (or desire) to U-pick yourself, let the fresh produce come to you by stopping at any number of farmers marketswithin an hour of Kalamazoo. You’ll find fresh vegetables, meats, cheese, fruit, eggs, chocolates, wine and so much more.

Read on to explore both U-pick options and Farmers Markets.
