2015 Richland Park Horse Trials

August 20 – 23 at the property of Bob and Kay Willmarth at 8651 N. 30th St (about three-tenths of a mile south of M-89) in Richland. 

  • Come watch Olympic riders from across the glove compete in three levels of exciting competition, dressage, stadium jumping and cross country jumping or cheer on your local favorite horse and rider duo as they compete at the lower levels of this exciting competition.
  • Friday- Dressage, stadium jumping and XC jumping (beginning at 1pm), Saturday- CIC and advanced level XC and lower level stadium jumping, Sunday- XC and stadium jumping. There is a vendor fair which will offer unique shopping and delicious concessions.
  • One-day parking and admission to the horse trials is $10 per car or multiple-day parking and admission is $15 per car. Proceeds benefit the Cheff Therapeutic Riding Center in Augusta. Spectator shuttles are available to help get you around the park.


Everyone’s a Member Day at the KIA

Friday, August 21 at the Kalamazoo Institute of Arts in Kalamazoo. 

  • The public is invited to the museum for free admission, school and shop discounts, and an evening reception with music, refreshments, and an exhibition preview.
  • The evening reception (5:30 pm to 8:00 pm) celebrates the opening of Common Ground: African American Art from the Flint Institute of Arts, the Kalamazoo Institute of Arts, and the Muskegon Museum of Art, with sculpture, paintings, and works on paper by more than 60 artists.
