Ice Breaker 2015

Friday -Sunday, January 30 through February 1 in downtown South Haven.

  • West Michigan’s predominant and growing winter festival is showcasing dazzling ice sculptures, Chili Cook-off, Pub Slide, horse drawn wagon rides, kid crafts, and many more exciting, fundraising events for local communities. See printable schedule here.


Fly Tying 101

Saturday, January 31 at 10 am & 1 pm at the Wolf Lake Hatchery in Mattawan.

  •  Learn the basics of tying flies. All practice materials are provided. Class size is limited for each session. Pre- registration is required. This program is recommended for those 8 years of age and older. Sessions will be approximately two hours in length.

Winter Jamboree

Saturday, January 31 from 11:00 am to at Milham Golf Course in Kalamazoo. 

  • This is a FREE community event which will offer opportunities to try out many winter activities such as: Snowshoeing, Kayak Sledding, Sledding (bring your own), Snowman Building Contest, and Igloo Building.


Discover DeLano

Sunday, February 1 from 2:00 pm – 3:00 pm at the Kalamazoo Nature Center in Kalamazoo. Meet at the DeLano Homestead parking lot, 555 W. E Avenue, Kalamazoo. 

  • Tour through the historic DeLano Homestead and discover how the settlers coped with winter over 150 years ago. Weather permitting; we will take a short hike around the property. Members: Free, Adults: $7/Seniors $6Children & Students (4-17) $4, Children 3 & Under: Free



Girls on the Run Tutu Run

Sunday, February 1 starting at 2:00 pm at the Spring Valley Park in Kalamazoo Township. 

  • Join us for the 2015 Tutu Run powered by Honor Credit Union! The Happiest 2.2 mile event of the year! Start brainstorming ideas for best overall tutu design, best team tutu, best couples tutu, best kid tutu & much more!  All proceeds benefit Greater Kalamazoo Girls on the Run scholarship programs. REGISTER at:
