FOR THE WHOLE FAMILY
Wednesday through Sunday, July 2-July 6 in Battle Creek.
- This great family event will play host to 50 hot-air balloons, two night balloon illumes, a five hour air show featuring top performers from around the country, a full carnival, awesome food booths, arts & crafts, fireworks, bands and more..
Friday, July 4th at the Historic Charlton Park in Hastings.
- Looking for a good way to spend the day. Join us for an Old Fashioned 4th of July! Tons of games for all ages, including Baby Crawl, Needle in the Haystack, 3 Legged Race, Corn Hole, Watermelon and Pie Eating Contests. The bidding will be fast and furious at the Pie Auction. Free ice cream and lemonade will be served. Purchase a BBQ Meal catered by Schondelmayer BBQ to Benefit the Lawrence J. Bauer American Legion Post in Hastings. The beach, boat launch and hiking trails will be open and free to all from 8 am – 9 pm.
Saturday, July 5 12:00 pm – 4:00 pm at the Kingman Museum in Battle Creek.
- Discover rarely seen artifacts from our collections and participate in fun activities! May 3rd, June 7th, July 5th & August 2nd.
Open every day at the Kalamazoo Valley Museum in Kalamazoo. Check with museum directly for hours.
- Visit The Robot Zoo in this traveling exhibit based on the book by John Kelly. Explore the biomechanics of complex animal robots to discover how real animals work. The exhibit features mechanical and programmable robotic “animals” which show the amazing mechanics of living things, called biomechanics. By comparing anatomy, environments, and size of the actual creatures to the mechanic counterparts, The Robot Zoo provides fantastic new insights and hands-on fun for discovering just how animals work.
