My first car was a Toyota carolla and it was an amazing car until the day I pulled into my friends driveway and the engine started on fire and we never drove it again.

My first car was a VW bug in 1986. My parents had me all excited for a brand new car. Instead it was a VW bug . At first I was ungrateful. But I telll you I fell in love with my bug . As a result most of my vehicles have been bugs .

My first car was an Oldsmobile. It was blue and boxy with really soft seats. I was 17 and I bought it all by myself. I did not have that car for very long because I bought it with a leaky gas tank!

  6. Jamie Mitchell October 24, 2018 at 8:32 am

My first car was a Oldsmobile fierenza, that got handed done to me. I was the last to receive it (dad, mom, big brother, then myself). I drove it until I was told by a mechanic to take it home and park, cause it wasn’t going anywhere else. Lol! So many memories…

  7. Cindy Turner October 24, 2018 at 8:33 am

My first car was actually my parents but by far my favorite to drive. It’s was a ‘66 Studebaker purchased from a lady in our town who took excellent care of it.

My first car was a mercury tracer named “Phil” as in “phill up the gas tank”. We had a very special relationship–there were a few hills that were only climbed due to our love for eachother and the rubber band holding his engine together.

My first car was a 1988 limited edition 2 door Jeep Cherokee. I loved that vehicle! It had gold on its rims and I peels the fabric of the top roof due to it always falling down.
I was the first of us 4 kids to drive so it was the coolest to all go together with out the parents. My sister and I did the most together and I remember the first time my front end problem happened. We were traveling down the highway and hit some pothole that caused my front end to start shaking profusely. We were so scared and wouldn’t drive it home. We probably should have had that looked at but it just became the normal to stop the Jeep when it happened and start going again and every thing would be fine.

  22. Jean Marlowe October 24, 2018 at 9:10 am

My first car was a brand new Toyota Tercel, a wonderful and inexpensive car, which I bought one year after I graduated from college. The car was in such high demand that there were none available to test drive at the dealer’s. I bought mine on faith of very good reviews. I bought a standard transmission even though I had not yet learned to drive one. My friend helped me by driving it home from the dealer and my Dad gave me standard driving lessons that night. I drove my new car, alone, from Connecticut, the next day to return to my summer job in Maine.

Many hours were spent in the garage with my Dad, putting part by part on. Finnally Fixed, learned how to drive it, got drivers licence. First time out by my self SMASH! Apparently with a stick shift you cant just slam on the break to not hit the truck in front of you! Lol

Well since I am 75 years old….. my first car was a used, 1950, yellow, Ford Fairlane that my uncle gave me.
This car had no grill, so from the front it looked like a shark with its mouth, but i was thrilled to have a car of my very own.
My first time out on the road, I took a curve too fast and a hubcap went rolling off into a field and embarrassed, i just kept going. I never told anyone and no one ever mentioned it missing. To this day i wonder if anyone even noticed or cared. i didn’t. Ha Ha Ha Ha!

I look back lovingly at “The Little Blonde Car”, the reliable little Honda Civic hatchback I got as a senior in high school. I left the headlights on one day and had to get a jump and that rested my radio and you had to have a code to get the radio to work again. So it gave me many problems.

My first car was a Plymouth Sundance. After spending several days in the shop at Autolab it died a fiery death. I had just gotten it from the shop, a guy I was just starting to date asked me over to his friends house in Galesburg to watch a movie. While watching the movie the friend yelled, “hey your car is on fire!” The Galesburg fire department showed up and the car was totaled. Definitely the most embarresing and costly dates I have ever had…. I’m sure tickets to the Civic will wipe that memory away though 🙂

My first car was a 1954 Chevrolet Bel Aire an Old Police car I got it when I was 16, 1973. I loved it a big old brute.Very rough shape however, it ran great. Fun memories driving through Milham Park.

My first car was a PURPLE Ford Aspire! It was hilarious to see my then boyfriend (now husband) at 6’2” climb into it. Oh, it was also a stick! Man I loved that car!
