I hope this is how you are supposed to enter for the contest – as I do not see a separate link for entering. If so – this is why I am excited about the Kalamazoo Growlers!

I am SO excited about the Kalamazoo Growlers because it is finally an affordable way to teach our adopted daughters about the wonderful America’s favorite past-time baseball! They are loving little league so much (ages 5 and 7) that they cannot wait to go to their first “real” baseball game! Thanks for giving Kalamazoo a chance to teach our children and have fun family time at an affordable price!!!

We are so excited to have a baseball team back in Kalamazoo!! My kids love going to baseball games & it is fun for the whole family. I can’t wait to hear the roar of the crowd, the crack of the bat, smell the popcorn & see all the fun! There is nothing like a baseball game on a warm summer night!

  3. Audrea Hoelle May 14, 2014 at 1:19 pm

My oldest just started playing t-ball and he loves it! He would love to see a “real” baseball game.

  4. Grace G May 14, 2014 at 2:54 pm

Since we’re somewhat new to Kzoo, and my kids have been BEGGING me to take them to a baseball game, it would be wonderful to have the chance to take all three to see our Growlers. They watched them practice last week and couldn’t get enough. This is practically in our backyard! I love supporting local everything, and this is just another way to support our wonderful city and enjoy a fun day out with the family.

  7. Janelle May 15, 2014 at 8:24 am

I’m glad Kalamazoo has a team again. My daughter went to see the Kings quite a few years ago but she was very young and now my son is interested and it would be his first baseball game experience.

    Thank you!

  8. Nicole May 15, 2014 at 8:52 am

My little guy just started playing t-ball this year and is loving it so far. Getting to a Growlers game would be a great way to keep his interest up!

  9. Jennifer Johncock May 15, 2014 at 8:56 am

We are SO EXCITED that Kalamazoo has a new baseball team! We’ve missed going to games locally. Can’t wait to go to our first game this year!!!

  10. Emily Hewitt May 15, 2014 at 9:17 am

I agree with Amanda. Summer is baseball! It was so sad not to have baseball in Kalamazoo. Not that I minded having an excuse to go to a Tiger’s game instead. I’m glad that my 3 year old son is old enough to experience this with me now, and truly enjoy it!

  11. Mandy May 15, 2014 at 9:24 am

Would be lots of fun to take the kids to a baseball game. They used to love going to see the Kings play.

  12. Katherine S. May 15, 2014 at 10:43 am

I’m really looking forward to the Kalamazoo baseball team coming soon as I can take my 3 year old daughter to a couple of games and show her a good time in a family friendly atmosphere.I really enjoyed it when the Kalamazoo Kings were here in town and was sad when they left.

  15. Jenny B. May 15, 2014 at 10:08 pm

So glad to have a team back in Kalamazoo! Our kids love playing Little League and we are looking forward to taking the whole family to a “real” game. This will be a fun and affordable family time! Go Growlers!

  16. Beth Bell May 16, 2014 at 10:26 am

My family just loves baseball! What a fun way to make memories!!

  17. Shannan May 16, 2014 at 1:32 pm

I have three girls and we have never been to a baseball game. It would be fun to hang up the tutus and try something new! 🙂

  18. Carisa Farrer May 17, 2014 at 7:42 am

We are so excited to have the Growlers in Kalamazoo. Our family of 6 didn’t get to out of town baseball games because of our schedule and it isn’t always convenient with the young age of some of the kids. Having a local team is a lot more convenient and games are a lot more fun and special when you have a real “HOME” team to support. Go Growlers!

  19. Nancy H May 17, 2014 at 2:38 pm

I am excited to have a local sports team. They are quality fun for the whole family! Baseball is such a great summer activity.

  20. Crystal J May 17, 2014 at 5:17 pm

My family use to go to every kings game the last 2 years they were in town. My daughter still asks to go to the ball games. I can’t wait to be able to go to baseball games again!

  21. Donna Judd May 17, 2014 at 7:08 pm

We love baseball, especially my daughter! It will be great to be able to keep it local as we root for the home team this year, rather than driving to Grand Rapids!

  22. Beth Bell May 17, 2014 at 8:38 pm

We love baseball!! Our favorite sport!!

  23. Amanda Young May 17, 2014 at 9:39 pm

My son is already a baseball fan at the young age of 17 months and we would love to be able to get him involved with the new local team 🙂 We would love this!!

  24. Tori Horn May 20, 2014 at 10:14 am

We are so happy to baseball back in Kalamazoo. My boys grew up watching the Kings and we were missing that family outing as they became teenagers. This team will help to provide more families a baseball experience as going to Grand Rapids or Detroit is not always an option in this economy. I hope they know what a great team building experience this is for local teams. I wonder if they know how many kids will be sitting and dreaming of being a Growler one day. This would be a great prize.

  25. Denise DeVries May 20, 2014 at 2:20 pm

Fun promotion nights like Star Wars night and the monkeys dressed as cowboys riding dogs! Need I say more.

  26. Robyn May 25, 2014 at 8:01 pm

I’m excited to have my kids have a chance to connect with a sport that’s a favorite of their grandpa!! Hopefully he can come to a game too. Good luck to the Growlers!

  27. Carrie May 25, 2014 at 8:59 pm

My husband is a huge baseball fan and we hope to pass that enthusiasm on to our daughter. Also whenever she sees the new mascot she starts dancing!

  28. Chelsea H May 27, 2014 at 9:02 am

I have had an opportunity to meet almost all of the guts in the front office, and I am excited to support them. They are a great group that is so enthusiastic about bringing baseball back to our community and making it affordable for families to enjoy a night out. We are big hockey fans in our house and I’m looking forward to finding a sport we can fall in love with during the opposite season!

  29. Kim May 27, 2014 at 2:42 pm

My dad and I have always gone to the Kalamazoo baseball games together. Four years ago, on his birthday in August, we attended a game and entered a raffle for a free plane ticket. Both of our names were chosen, as well as a third person. We met on the pitcher’s mound for the final winner to be chosen. It came down to Dad and I. My name was picked and the announcer asked if I would give my ticket away to my dad for his birthday. He answered Heck no! before I even had a chance. He wanted me to have a trip of a lifetime. That game will always be a great memory. I hope there are more to come!

  30. Beth Ogden May 28, 2014 at 3:15 pm

My wife Angela and I have four daughters ranging from 9 months to 10 years old. I am a middle school teacher and my wife is a stay at home mom. Over the years the have grown to love watching the Tigers on tv, the older two have had an opportunity to go to a game in Detroit. We are looking forward to being able to take the kids to games here in town. Attending a Growlers game will give us the chance to enjoy baseball as a family. The team has created a very family friendly atmosphere with events and activities for kids. The Gowlers have also made tickets very affordable to attend.
