Did you know that each new fragrance takes six to nine months to develop? Every candle is poured by hand.
They make their candles out of 100% natural soy wax, paper-core cotton wicks, and zero added dyes. Wouldn’t it be fun to make your own candles with these high-quality ingredients? You can!
And kids can have fun making candles too!

Who Says Kids and Candles Can’t Go Together?
As parents, we normally steer our children away from candles for safety purposes, right?
Kalamazoo Candle Company offers their very own Kids’ Day Out, a weekly drop-in candle making class for kids. No reservations required. Simply walk in anytime between 10:00 – noon or 3:30 PM – 5:30 PM every Tuesday and make your own unique wax creation.
Your candle is your very own masterpiece. Select a fragrance or combine multiple fragrances to make the perfect scent. This creative process will even involve making your own custom label to fit the 6oz candle tin.
We love the burning time on the 6oz size tins – they are guaranteed to burn for at least 30 hours.
My five year old daughter and I recently went to Kids Day Out. She loved the process of choosing the fragrances and mixing everything together. We went out to dinner while we waited for the wax to harden and she was just so excited to see the finished product. She was so happy and proud of herself. It was an incredible experience and she can’t wait to go back.

When: Every Tuesday from 10:00 AM – 12:00 PM or 3:30 PM – 5:30 PM. Drop-in sessions are for kids ages 3-12, with an adult.
Drop-in Session: Safety goggles are provided and parental assistance is required to supervise the use of equipment. Wax will be cooled down and completely safe to touch.
Note: candles take about 40 minutes to cool. This provides a great opportunity to shop around Marketplace or grab a bite to eat or shop the local stores on the Kalamazoo Mall. Or, completed candles can be picked up within one to two business days.
