Finding Ways to Celebrate MOM this Mother’s Day
Let’s see – 3 meals a day, 7 days a week, over 9ish weeks…that’s how many meals? My common core math skills are a bit lacking. Suffice it to say a boatload of slicing, dicing and endless kitchen cleanup.
Sure, the kids have helped. We’ve tried new recipes, laughed over our fair share of meal flops, and enjoyed a few takeout meals along the way.
Our annual tradition has been to enjoy a meal at a local family fav restaurant – Latitude 42 Brewing Company (those truffle fries are delish).
That’s not in the cards this year for Mother’s Day.
Sure, Mom’s Receive Love all Through the Year…
But one special day – Mother’s Day – is dedicated to a little extra love and attention. And, no pandemic is going to stop mom from the attention she surely deserves – now more than ever.
Local companies and restaurants are making it easy to spoil mom. From Mother’s Day meal carryout specials to curbside flowering plants and baskets for pickup.
At the end of the day, a hug from my daughter, and her beautiful bouquet of hand-picked ‘flowers‘ from our lawn is what truly matters.
Celebrations of Any Kind are a Tad Tricky at the Moment
Birthday parties are happening over video chat. Treats and gifts are being dropped off at doorsteps and celebrations are happening six feet apart. We’re all doing our best to adapt to the current situation, and Mother’s Day is right around the corner – May 10!
