Touch-A-Truck’s May 11 Event Ends 13-Year Run for JLK’s Fundraiser
Following a 13-year tradition in Southwest Michigan, family favorite Touch-A-Truck (TAT) hosted by the Junior League of Kalamazoo, is coming to an end in 2024.
While many Kalamazoo area families circle this event annually on their May calendars, JLK announced that 2024’s fundraiser would be its last.

Event Highlights
Touch-A-Truck invites kids of all ages to explore vehicles hands-on, including fire trucks, police cars, buses, and large construction equipment. Visitors can grab the steering wheel, honk a horn or maybe turn on a siren!
While the trucks are the main event, Junior League supplements the vehicles with additional family friendly activities including face painting, balloons and food trucks.
While this may be its final installment, don’t expect any less fun in 2024:

- Noon – 2:00 PM (horns, lights and sirens permitted)

Touch-A-Truck Ticketing Info
Admission to Touch-A-Truck is $6 for adults, $4 for children (2 and under are free) and a maximum $15 per family.
Families can pre-purchase tickets on the Junior League of Kalamazoo’s website.
Why is Touch-A-Truck Ending?
After 13 years, the Junior League of Kalamazoo decided to retire TAT as their primary fundraiser. The team is grateful for the community support of this event for over a decade:
Our members have made lifelong memories over the years hosting Touch-A-Truck, and we hope the community has, too. I’m so grateful to everyone who has given their time and talents over the years executing this event. It has been a catalyst to the meaningful impact we have achieved as a women’s leadership organization.

About The Junior League of Kalamazoo
In the past 12 years, JLK has granted over $100,000 to local community organizations, donated 20,000 hours of volunteer support, and partnered with over 20 local non-profits, while providing training opportunities to develop members’ leadership skills and experience.
In 2024, Junior League anticipates presenting a total of $10,000 in grant awards to three local non-profits that support women and children.
