Downtown Kalamazoo’s November Art Hop Celebrates Creativity and Community Care
Get ready: the first Friday of the month brings one of our favorite local events: Art Hop!
Art Hop returns this Friday, November 7, from 5 PM to 8 PM. This free, walkable event invites you to explore local art throughout downtown Kalamazoo.
This month’s theme, Knowledge, highlights how creative expression helps us better understand the world around us.
This November, the Arts Council of Greater Kalamazoo is teaming up with Ministry with Community to spread kindness by collecting clothing donations for individuals and families in need.
Come enjoy great art and make a meaningful difference in our community.

How Can I Donate? What Items are being collected?
1 – SHOP: Purchase new warm outerwear/winter gear, new socks and new underwear.
2 – DROP OFF: Deliver your items to a participating Art Hop location starting Friday, November 7, 2025, from 5 PM to 8 PM.
Can’t make it to Art Hop? Collections run through November 30, 2025.

Who is Ministry with Community?
Ministry with Community is a local nonprofit in Kalamazoo that helps people facing hardships.
They offer meals, clothing, showers, and other basic needs, along with support services for anyone who needs it.
It’s a safe, welcoming place for people facing homelessness, poverty, or crisis.

Bring the family out for a free, walkable night of local art and community connection.
If you have donations, join the Arts Council of Greater Kalamazoo and Ministry with Community in spreading kindness by donating clothing to those in need at one of 17 local collection sites by November 30.
