Discover Free and Discounted Memberships for SWMI EBT Cardholders
While many EBT cardholders are familiar with the Museums for All program, we recently discovered some exciting options for annual memberships in Kalamazoo.
These programs provide discounted or free memberships to families with EBT cards, offering not only free admission all year round but also additional benefits like discounts on camps, classes and members-only events.
Here’s what we found for EBT cardholders:

- FREE Kalamazoo Nature Center memberships
- $20 memberships to the Kalamazoo Institute of Arts

The Air Zoo
Membership Offering: FREE annual membership for SNAP/EBT cardholders through the Community Access Memberships Program.**
Three membership levels:
- Individual
- Family
- Grandparent
CAM members receive all the benefits of being an Air Zoo member, including free admission 360+ days per year, invitations to members-only events and SkyKids Club!
How to Sign Up for a Free Membership
Where: In-person
Bring your ID and EBT/SNAP benefits card, and the staff will set up your membership. You must sign up for the CAM program in person.
**Please note: This membership program is fund-driven. If CAM funds are depleted, families wishing to visit the Air Zoo can take advantage of the Museum’s For All pricing of $2/person age 5+ living in the household. Names and contact information may be provided to the Air Zoo for notification of funds when they are again made available.

Kalamazoo Nature Center
Membership Offering: FREE annual membership for SNAP/FAP or WIC cardholders.
Four membership levels:
- Individual (one adult)
- Dual (two adults)
- Household (ALL adults and children living at the same address)
- Grandparent (up to two grandparents sharing a single address and all grandchildren under the age of 18)
How to Sign Up for a Free Membership
Where: In-person or online
Fill out the online form or apply at KNC’s Guest Services Desk or Welcome Station.
WIC/SNAP/FAP card and valid driver’s license are required.

Membership Offering: $20 annual family membership for SNAP/EBT cardholders.
How to Purchase a Discounted Membership
Where: In-person
Discounted family membership must be purchased at the KIA’s Guest Services Desk during regular museum operating hours.
To receive the membership discount, a valid SNAP EBT card with a photo ID must be presented at the time of purchase.
