What is an Inclusive Playground?

Inclusive playgrounds welcome visitors of all abilities.

This playground will provide additional opportunities for SWMI Miracle players, siblings and visitors. It also will serve as a community facility where everyone can play.

Per the team at The Dome:

“Playgrounds are a place for laughter, friends, and where all children and their families can play together regardless of their abilities. An inclusive playground takes away both the physical and social barriers to exclusion. We are proud to have this new addition on our campus.”

The new playground ensures that everyone can access the fun.

These ramps and rubber surfaces provide a smooth, welcoming surface for wheelchairs, crutches or other mobility aids.

Dog Policy: Please do not bring your dogs to this playground, as they are not permitted. Service dogs are welcome.

One Campus, Two Organizations

This Schoolcraft campus is home to both The Dome Sports Center and nonprofit Southwest Michigan Miracle League.

Both organizations are excited to see this new playground welcome local families.

The Southwest Michigan Miracle League

The Miracle League provides a safe and fun environment where kids with disabilities can enjoy themselves and experience the camaraderie of playing baseball in a field all their own. Players range from 5-19 years old.
