While traditionally reserved for the grown-ups, we are happy to report that Southwest Michigan has recently upped its December 31 game to include kids!
Although midnight is a bit late for the kiddos (and let’s face it, many adults), area businesses are welcoming families to celebrate much earlier in the day with balloon drops, sparkling juice, live music, DJs and more.

Bell’s Eccentric Cafe – Doors Open at 11 AM
Cost: FREE
New Year’s Fest (Downtown Kalamazoo)
Downtown Kalamazoo – 6 PM to Midnight
Cost: $8/person (pre-purchase) or $12/person (day of)
New Year’s Eve Adventure Party (Allegan Event)
Allegan Event – 5 PM to 9 PM
Cost: $32.99/person (pre-purchase online) or $35.99 (at the door).
Note: Parents/attendees not participating in the attractions are free and do not require tickets.
NYE Countdown to NOON (Presidential Brewing Company)
Presidential Brewing Company – 11 AM to 6 PM
Cost: $1/beer toasts for adults; sparkling juice free for kids. Food and additional beverages are available for purchase.
