Grandpa Cornwell started serving turkey sandwiches in the 1960s and as the Cornwell family grew, so did their business.
Today, the third and fourth generations of Cornwells stay true to their roots by offering a one-of-a-kind country fun experience, which now includes fall fun, ice cream, an enormous gift shop, dinner theatre, camping, and many special events.

Fall Events at Turkeyville
Fall is one of our favorite times to visit Turkeyville. Snag some homemade donuts and cider, and you’ll have a perfect family outing.
Turkeyville’s Haunted Adventure
Beginning in October, Turkeyville’s annual Haunted Adventure sets the stage for weekend fall fun in Southwest Michigan.
Bring cash and expect some crowds, but waiting for the adventures doesn’t take too long.
Everything about Turkeyville’s Haunted Adventure is family-friendly. Try a creepy hayride, walk through the corn maze, see how brave you are in the haunted barn and catch a spooky train ride.
Set aside a few hours to enjoy this fun experience and the beautiful fall scenery.
Haunted Adventure Activities
Families can expect some not-too-spooky fall favorites. Costumes are encouraged!
Haunted Trail Hayride
Venture into a spooky forest called Turk-evil Trail as you’re pulled by a tractor.
Visitor Tip: Most displays here are very tame; however, the big moving skeleton may be a bit creepy for younger guests.
Corn Maze
The hayride stops at the corn maze if you want to test your navigational skills. You can hop back on the hayride when you’re done.
Haunted Barn
You have two options for the Haunted Barn: Jumps or No Jumps.
Want to be scared? Pick the jumps, and scary people will jump out as you walk through the barn. If you want a less startling experience, go for no jumps.
Visitor Tip: We do not recommend the Haunted Barn for young children, even without jumps. One portion is pitch black and is likely too intense for young guests.
Spooky Train
The Mid Michigan Railroad Club runs the train rides with its 1/8th scale 7 1/2 gauge railroad. It is a delight to ride on one of these small trains.
Rides are FREE, but donations are appreciated.
During the rest of the year, the trains run on special weekends May through October (schedule).
Visitor Tip: All train riders must be able to sit unassisted (ie, no infants)
Follow the signs and walk across the grassy area by the hayride to make sure you take advantage of this train ride.
8 Things To Do At Turkeyville Year-Round
Can’t make it this fall? No worries—Cornwell’s Turkeyville is open all year with additional events and activities.

1 – Dine in the Restaurant
It should come as no surprise that Turkeyville’s restaurant has, you guessed it: turkey.
After all, they were founded on their turkey sandwiches, which are still available today.
This cafeteria-style meal costs between $6 and $12, and the portions are generous.
Their menu includes sandwiches and warm entrees like a full turkey dinner, but gluten-free and vegetarian meals are also available.
If your kids don’t enjoy turkey, the good ol’ standbys of mac and cheese and peanut butter and jelly are available.
Don’t forget dessert; their pies and cakes are delicious.
2 – Have a Treat at the Ice Cream Parlour
If you’re like our family, you skip the restaurant and head straight for the ice cream.
There are 16 homemade flavors available, all made with fresh, locally sourced ingredients.
They have a vast menu with milkshakes, sundaes and floats, too.
Up for a challenge? Try the Super Tom. If you can eat 13 scoops of ice cream with 5 toppings plus whipped cream, peanuts and a cherry on top in 15 minutes, it’s free!
They also have lots of flavors of fudge and freshly popped popcorn.
3 – Visit the Playground and Barn
Behind the main restaurant, you’ll find swings, a wooden climbable tractor, a playset and some tires for your kids to climb on.
It’s a nice, quick spot for your kids to get their wiggles out after enjoying ice cream.
You’ll most likely have to wander through a flock of turkeys to get to the barn but they’ll gobble at you and run the other way.
The barn is home to goats, some cows, pigs and a donkey. You can’t feed the animals, but they will wander up to you to say hello.
4 – Put Those Quarters to Work at the Arcade
Some friendly competition is good for everyone, so stop by the arcade after your ice cream.
Off of the ice cream parlor is a room full of your kids’ favorite arcade games, from racing to the claw.
There’s a change machine available, so don’t forget your dollar bills.
5 – Shop the Massive Gift Shop
Cornwell’s Turkeyville has a HUGE 23,000-square-foot gift shop, stocked with treasures for every member of your family.
Visitor Tip: Snag some baked goods here (we recommend cinnamon bread). You can also purchase other tasty food, including frozen meals, jams, salsa and pickles.
Your kids will love the selection of toys and candy options.
Before you leave, make sure you put a couple of quarters in the model train in the main lobby.
6 – Catch a Show at the Dinner Theater
Cornwell’s Turkeyville offers a 150-seat, dinner theatre experience.
Turkey dinner is served as you watch professional actors perform Broadway musicals and comedy shows.
These shows are perfect for date night, as most are for adults only.

7 – Attend a Cooking Class or Other Special Event
Turkeyville has an active yearly calendar. There is always something going on!
During the summer season, you can find flyovers with historic airplanes, tractor pulls, car, truck and tractor shows, flea markets, antique shows and craft shows.
In the winter and spring, cooking classes are offered. Mommy and Me Cookie Classes are a fan favorite- be sure to purchase your tickets online.
8 – Bring your Camper to Camp Turkeyville
If you own a camper, Camp Turkeyville is a great summer option that’s not too far away from home.
It’s a competitive summer destination open from April to October. You’ll need to book your space early!
Your kids will love the two pools, two playgrounds, a fishing pond, a mining sluice, a community room and a general store. You will love the 14 acres and pet-friendly sites with affordable pricing.
