Monster Mash at Ramona Park
One of our favorite Halloween events returns on October 21, 2023: Monster Mash.
This must-see event from the City of Portage is sought out annually by local families who can trick or treat and enjoy Halloween themed activities for FREE at Ramona Park.
Expect costumes, oodles of candy, and family-friendly fun plus a movie to cap off the evening’s adventures.

Monster Mash Highlights
Monster Mash is an annual trick-or-treat tradition in Portage. Find local businesses ready to distribute goodies to costumed kids, plus inflatables and seasonal activities.
For those that want to catch a flick, families can set up for an evening movie, drive-in style.
Monster Mash is a free activity and does not require registration to attend.

Halloween Themed Activities
The kids won’t be bored at Ramona Park. Here’s what’s scheduled for 2023:
- Spooky forest hayride
- Inflatables
- Magic show
- Pumpkin carving demonstrations
- Drive-in style movie (Hotel Transylvania)
Drive-in Style Movie
This year’s movie is Hotel Transylvania, beginning around dusk (approx 7:00 PM).
Parking for the movie will begin at 5:30 PM (first come, first served).
Winter Apparel Donations
Portage Parks & Recreation will collect new and gently used winter apparel: coats, hats, gloves and scarves for those in need this winter.
On-site donation bins will be located at Ramona Park to collect winter gear- they are collecting all sizes.
