With pumpkin carving, Halloween crafts, indoor trick or treating, trunk or treats, not to mention opportunities for candy galore – it’s no wonder Halloween is a favorite season for many.

Candlelight Night Hike Under the New Moon
Kalamazoo Nature Center

Experience KNC at night like never before! On the darkest night of the month, the night of the new moon, our Fern Valley Trail will be lit with luminaries to guide your path. Hike at your own pace through the cool October night. The path will take you approximately 1 mile through the woods, and will return through the Arboretum. $5/person. Admission is included in the registration fee

Monster Mash Drive-In

This event will include drive-in trick-or-treating, a ride through a spooky trail in your own vehicle and a “drive-in” style movie in the park beginning at dusk. Parking for the movie will begin at 6 PM and will be first come, first served. The Halloween themed featured movie is Hocus Pocus! No registration is required, but dressing up is strongly encouraged. Make sure to arrive early because parking is limited.
