Kalamazoo Country Day School Summer Camp will Engage Your Curious Kid
Summer is my favorite season.
As a child, the anticipation of waiting for the faint tune of the ice cream truck to grow louder as it wound through the neighborhood is a long-treasured memory. As a parent, I still enjoy the “lazy days of summer,” but want to incorporate learning for my children that continues after the school year ends.
Is there a camp that combines the fun of summer, while still reinforcing their academic needs?
Kalamazoo Country Day School is excited to offer themed summer camps to extend learning beyond the classroom year. Through these camps, children will continue their academic and character development while participating in a wide variety of fun activities including soccer, astronomy, archaeology, and cooking.
Kids will leave camp with a reawakened curiosity and desire to learn.
Camps are now offered for two age groups: Preschool (Ages 3-7) and School Aged (Ages 7-14).
Expect BIG Fun for Preschool-Aged Exploration
Kalamazoo Country Day encourages learning through play. This summer, your preschooler will continue to progress in his social and educational milestones with licensed, professional preschool teachers and aides.
Every week, campers will visit the Spanish room, explore technology and work on her individualized academic goals. Combine this scholastic focus with a fun themed activity each week, plenty of time for fresh air and outdoor play for a winning adventure.
Speaking of activities…
Do you have a soccer enthusiast? Future Masterchef? Veterinarian in training? All of these interests and more are covered in different summer camps for preschoolers. And with flexible scheduling, you can enroll them by the day or week, for full or half days, to meet your family’s needs.
New Camp Options for Elementary and Tween Ages
NEW for 2019, Kalamazoo Country Day is offering five summer camp options for the big kids in your family. Children, ages 7-14, will have opportunities to explore, with offsite camp adventures.
Where can your child’s learning take him this summer? How about to the skies: Night Watch teaches astronomy as campers learn all about the cosmos. This unique camp takes place at night, allowing children to use real telescopes while discovering Michigan’s night sky.
Does your child love soccer? The Dan Bulley Soccer School will be onsite for Extreme Soccer: a full week of camp to refine skills through fun, challenging and unique activities.
