This Fall Lineup is Pretty Sweet
While some may wait for the first pumpkin spice latte, we prefer Monster Shakes each September to kick off our favorite fall activities.
When an artist’s chosen medium is chocolate, the result is not only a sight to behold, but also delicious.
Cherri Emery, the artist turned chocolatier, is the mastermind behind Cherri’s Chocol’art on the Kalamazoo Mall where she’s been turning out magnificent chocolate creations for over a decade.
This fall’s lineup of delights is no exception. We are circling September 1, 2023 as our official monster start to fall in Kalamazoo.
What is a “Monster” Shake?
These over-the-top food creations from Cherri’s shop are like no milkshake you’ve ever had.
Often including full brownies, cookies, or donuts, these gigantic desserts include embellishments you won’t find elsewhere- many of which are made from scratch in their shop!
Monster Shakes are available all year long, with flavors rotating seasonally using Lafayette Creamery’s ice cream.
The shakes are $12.25. For an addition $2, you can split the treat for two (and ensure extra toppings and equal ice cream).

Find Cherri’s Chocol’art downtown at 101 S Kalamazoo Mall. They are across the street from Rustica and Principle.

Fall 2023 Monster Lineup
Here’s a rundown of what’s on their monster menu starting September 1:
Caramel Apple Cider Monster Shake
What’s inside:
- Apple cider ice cream with a hint of caramel
- Buttercream rim with graham crackers
- A full sized, glazed donut (NEW)
- Spiced, candied apples
- Whipped cream and caramel drizzle
Graveyard Shake
What’s inside:
- Vanilla or cookies and cream ice cream layered with chocolate pudding
- Buttercream sprinkled rim
- Whipped cream, crushed Oreos, gummy worms, chocolate tombstone and cotton candy
Spooky Wooky Monster Shake
What’s inside:
- Blue/purple vanilla ice cream base
- Buttercream Halloween sprinkled rim
- Chocolate cobweb, cotton candy, spooky eyeballs, strawberry sauce, sprinkles and whipped cream
Pumpkin Pie Monster Shake
What’s inside:
- Pumpkin spiced ice cream
- A full slice of pumpkin pie
- Buttercream rim with graham crackers
- Pumpkin cookie, whipped cream, salted caramel sauce and graham crackers bits
- Additional ice cream flavors: habanero caramel or pumpkin cheesecake (subject to stock availability)
